In my book Taming Life – Happiness Is Not a Myth, I talk in depth about stress and the effects it has on our body and mind, otherwise known as “The Body Mind”. Our biggest threat, in a state of stress, is the hormone Cortisol, which primes our body for instant action. When the Hypothalamus, Pituitary and Adrenal Axis fires up, our bodies release Cortisol, which, as stated earlier, is a very strong hormone, which, if constantly present in our bodies, can cause us more harm than good, both mentally as well as physically.
