When he started writing this book he started off with the intention of writing about belief systems and perceptions and how they influence our thinking and decision making processes. But as he wrote he felt that he also had to include the effects our thoughts have on our bodies through the chemicals released by the brain and adrenal glands. This then lead him to explain, in simple terms, what happens in the brain when we think, which is the process that releases those chemicals, and then he explains what those chemicals do to us in the long run.
The more he wrote, the more the book kept on growing. One thing lead to another and another etc.
After writing about the good, the bad and the ugly, Tony felt compelled to then illustrate different ways of taking control of all those processes, of our thoughts and therefore of the chemical cocktails floating around in our body. He then wrote about three different tools that you can use to repair your lives, your general health and therefore your overall quality of life.
